The right panel represents Hell and the punishment of sins.

The original measures 135 cm of height and 45 cm of width and the above presented copy measures the half of these measurements

Hell is represnted as an incandescant town, with devils who are building a tower, which, maybe, is an allusion to thed biblic Babel tower.

In 1599, Friar Sigüenza formulated the assumption that building new accomodations and rooms was due to the fact that Hell had become too small to shelter all souls and that there willl not be enough room for all those who were going to enter, as there was no other issue for all persons of the central panel.

The fires of buildings, so typical of Bosch's work, are repeated, since similar since similar blazes can be seen on the right panel of the Vienna's Last Judgment, as well as the right panel of the Garden of Delights.

With reddish hues, we have here blazing edifices where we can see that the fire comes from the bottom, as if Hieronymus Bosch were inspired by the (then newly discovered) gunpowder weapons and explosives, so that this hell looks like a place of military conflagration.
