This personage is composed of so many leaves and flowers that we might almost smell their perfume.

Our eyes turn delicate roses into lips, the bud of a lily into a nose and a peony into an ear.

The hair is an interlaced structure of hibiscus, opium poppies and many other sorts of flowers, surmounted by an open lily.

Spring is wearing a jacket made of leaves and a tender cabbage, which is ornated by a frill of small white flowers and daisies.

In front of Spring stands an iris, as a symbol of the freshness of the renewal.
