Michel Mancini was born in 1941 in Lyons (France).

He attends secondary studies at the Ampère's Lyceum where he shows more talent for literary subjects than for mathematics, which does not prevent him to be admitted at the Park Lyceum for preparing the entrance exam to "les Grandes Ecoles".

His passion for painting starts very soon : since his childhood, every Sunday morning, Michel Mancini was selling collection stamps at the Stamp Market of the Bellecour Plaza to make pocket-money and so, be able to purchase what was necessary for painting his first works. x xxxxx xxxxx
From 1962, he starts an engineering degree at the Ecole Centrale des Arts et Manufactures (more commonly known as Ecole Centrale de Paris - ECP ) which produced not only engineers and businessmen, but also politicians, writers and artists).

While he is studying at the "Ecole Centrale", for the first time, Michel Mancini participates in a painting exhibition (organised by the students of the school) and gets the third prize of the contest.

After being graduated in 1965, he fulfils his armed service as a second lieutenant at the Cavalry Academy of Saumur.

In 1967, he joins a multinational Automotive Corporation, in the Organisation and Systems Department.

In 1967, Michel Mancini marries Monique Valadon, whose family is native from Bessines-sur-Gartempe (near Limoges), just as Suzanne Valadon, the mother of the painter Maurice Utrillo.

In 1973, Michel Mancini is sent for a mission in the Spanish subsidiary of the Corporation in Madrid where he will be residing for seven years and an half.

During his stay in Madrid, he has done many visits to the Prado Museum where he has fallen into admiration for the Bosch's triptychs, which has made him want to do copies of them.

Before throwing himself into the copy of the Garden of Delights (for which he will take more than two years), he starts by doing copies of other paintings exhibited at the Prado Museum.

After coming back to France, he settles with his family, in Orgeval, in the Yvelines county that impressionist painters loved very much.

He will occupy managing positions in miscellaneous functions (Information technologies, Quality Management and Internal Consulting), before he retired in 2006, which allowed him to spend more time for his passion : painting copies of works from the Renaissance to the eighteen century and belonging to two categories : Decorative paintings (bouquets or other decorative subjects) and surrealist paintings.

In the meantime, his wife, Monique Mancini has also become a painter, but mainly in the impressionist style, and music lover, she became an active member of the Orgeval's Vocal Group, a mixed chorus with a diversified repertoire including sacred and baroque music.

Monique and Michel Mancini have three children : a girl who has a fashion shop and has inherited the liking of painting and drawing from her parents, and two boys, one engineer in telecommunications, and the other businessman and musician.
